We would love to have your next vacation be at the South Star. This first floor, end unit offers spectacular ocean views and is just steps to the pool or beach, take your pick!

***New!!***
January 2024, brand new bathroom, fully remodeled, new kitchen floor & new memory foam twin mattresses in the crews' quarters! In the summer of 2023, we welcomed a new AC unit ensuring your summer nights are not hot and humid! As of March 2022, all appliances at the south star were upgraded! Fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer!!!
As for the rest, it’s all amazing, read on for the details!

The unit offers one bedroom with a queen bed, two "crews' quarters" twin bunk beds built into the hall (bed safety rails provided for top at no up-charge) and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the family room as well as power recliner.

The family room has dual sliding doors leading out to the patio where you can sit and relax while looking at the ocean. Just past your patio is one of three grilling stations and to your right the pool.

The bathroom has a walk-in tile shower as well as a washer and dryer.

The South Star is deep cleaned after each stay. This includes all bed coverings, pillow covers, couch cover and tablecloth being washed and changed after each stay.

The unit has a dedicated parking space just steps from the front door making your move in a breeze.

The patio has direct ocean views, and the South Star is part of the last residential condos on pleasure island which provides easy access to walking and biking trails through Fort Fisher and the historic preservations and civil war museums.

Need a day out of the sun? Just take a short drive to the aquarium! This location also makes taking advantage of the ferry system to Southport a breeze!

The accommodations did not include bed linens and I was not advised of this until after I was on the plane. Some of the beach chairs are falling apart. The beach disappears during high tide. Other stuff was ok, but dated.

Great place!

This place was exactly as described. Host was very responsive and the unit was very clean. Steps away from beach and pool access. Town is quiet which we loved. The beach is easily accessible but not large due to erosion. Plenty of beach space overall. Would definitely return! Perfect for small family and couples.

Place was excellent very comfortable. Beautiful seaside pool.at the end of Kure beach.

Unit had everything you would need from beach chairs to beach toys. Unit owner was the best we have ever had. Responded to every request. All info we needed. We come to Kure beach twice a year and now, I will always book this unit. we use vrbo a lot our best choice ever.

Great place!

Julie was awesome! Very responsive to messages, the place was spotless and so cozy! The pool was right around the corner and beach access was very convenient. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

Wonderful Stay

The condo was very clean and as described. This was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. The owner was very informative and provided all the necessary details for our check in. Julie was the perfect host! The ocean view was very nice and having the beach access a few steps away made it much easier to come and go. The pool is also right outside the condo. The location is perfect - less crowded and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Amazing family vacation spot

We had an amazing stay at Julie's place. It fit our family's needs beyond perfectly and we will definitely be returning. The washer/dryer helped immensely as we were able to pack less for our three-year-old and ourselves. The proximity to the ocean made it extremely easy to come on and off the beach as needed. The pool right behind the property was our daughter's favorite part. Julie is a wonderfully responsive and helpful host. Stay here!

Great location!

Great place to stay for a family of 4. The location can’t be beat. It’s basically on the beach. Quiet private section of the beach. The condo was furnished with everything we needed to cook dinner every night. Would definitely stay here again.
