"Checked in around 10:30 at night, could not wait to check out the next morning. I had booked for 4 nights. It was a last min booking. Pictures must be from 10 years ago or more. It’s not a fun in the sun stay. The rooms were very out dated, not cleaned well. Mattress was bigger than the bed frame. Room 6 I stayed in. They refunded me no problem. Staff did not ask questions, just refunded me. Hotel 0 staff 5. I felt like this happens often. "

"I enjoyed my stay at BahaMar, overall good experience. A few things I would mention, they did the bare minimum in the room; towels and beds but very little of anything else. They never cleaned the tables, like dirty dishes or glasses. Also our sink in the bathroom kept clogging and it didn't seem like an issue that need attention to them. The resort is large and beautiful, but it is very confusing as to what you are "allowed" to use. There were some pools we could use, but you couldn't use the chairs for example. We got kicked out of areas many times without even realizing we were in an area our bracelet didn't allow etc. That seemed to be the same experience for many people we had conversations with, and they seemed frustrated by this as well. The chair situation is rather ridiculous, it is very hard to find a chair you can use. They have so many chairs that are "reserved" but there is no one all day using them, meanwhile there are guests roaming around just looking for an available chair. We had to pay someone who worked there everyday just to help us find available chairs. Which I don't expect when I am paying for a stay at a resort. The restaurants are delicious, just be mindful of the prices, crazy expensive."

"Where do I begin? Point form- Pics not what the place looks like. Rustic. Needs TLC. Kitchen needs Basics such as Tea Towel, more than 3 forks, more than 1 drinking glass. Oven mitts, cleaning for pots and pans. Can opener broken. No mixing bowls. Cupboards don't align and don't close properly. Laundry area dingy and dirty with broken appliances in the mix. Guests downstairs were super noisy. Smoking marijuana. Had to send MULTIPLE requests for noise level. The guests below us brought a loud speaker and was blasting most of the evening and after the 10 pm curfew. There was a nail in the bedroom sticking out of the floor about 1/4 ". Bedroom door creaks loudly. Bring your own Body wash. The dish detergent and bathroom soap watered down a lot! Shower water pressure hit and miss. Not worth it."

"The host, listed as Herman, was the worst I've ever had thru VRBO. Never contacted us with check in details. We were stranded at the airport as our cell phones wouldn't work in the Bahamas. Had to rely on WiFi. We made several attempts to contact the host but he wouldn't respond. We made several attempts to contact VRBO, and had a difficult time trying to reach a real person to help us.The "Garden Cottage" we were supposed to be in was not available. Several Taxi trips back and forth to the airport and the cottage address we were given cost us nearly 200. We finally got in touch with someone at VRBO, and we're connected with a different host. I assume from the same company. Corniela was as helpful as she could be. The problem was where they moved us to is an old run down hotel of sorts called "Viking Hill". We basically had a small hotel room.We were only supplied 2 bath towels for our 7 night stay. We were told if we needed towels to use the community washer and dryer to wash what we had. The room wasn't the worst I've ever stayed in, but certainly not what I expected and paid for. The house keeper Mercy was kind and friendly. The property itself needs major attention. The WiFi was weak and often disconnected. Couldn't watch TV or call out through What's App without a signal.We noticed several guests having the same issues. Not able to get check-in details, and not able to connect to WiFi without password.I could go on & on, but running out of characters for this post "

"The townhouse is exactly as presented in the listing and is very well appointed including cleaning supplies and paper products (toilet paper and paper towels). Dominic was very responsive and helpful"
