"We had such a great time. Our cabin was like new, nice and well kept. Everything we needed was there. Really enjoyed our stay and use of the kayaks. Would definitely stay again!"

"When we checked in, we found that the property was not as described. The issue was not the work at the dock indicated in the listing, but the fact that the entire street in the front was teared apart and covered in a whitish dust that would not even come off from the rental car mats, no street lights so flashlights were needed at night, a pile of sand and machinery right in front, and no heater for the three days we stayed (4 booked). Due to a severe cold front, inside the house it was never above 61, much cooler at night. The host agreed to let us leave earlier and reduce the daily rate for the three days we stayed. After we returned home, I followed up with host who had not responded to two emails, to inquire about the refund. After 4 more unanswered emails, an VrBo agent called him and put me on the line so I could speak with him. He said he did the accounting at the end of each month, something he could have answered in one sentence from the beginning. When he processed the refund, the refund was short by $50 and did not include the tax portion. I contacted him and he responded that he will check with VrBo. 10 days later I still haven’t received a response from him after sending another 3 text messages. This behavior is not only unprofessional and against VrBo etiquette, but plain rude. In sum, a terrible experience both with the property and especially with the host. I will never book this rental again and I do not recommend it based on our experience."

"Great location, but unfortunately the condition of the home did not justify the cost. The listing photos appear to show the home when it was newer & better maintained and did not accurately reflect its current condition. There were multiple maintenance & cleanliness issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived. Carpets were very dirty, kitchen tiles were cracked and uneven, tile in the master bath posed safety concern. The upstairs bedroom ceiling had prior patchwork & collapsed during two rainstorms despite attempted repairs. We also dealt with a constantly dripping toilet, which we fixed ourselves, rusty unusable bikes, missing fishing poles that were listed, torn & dirty rooftop cushions, unreliable internet, dirty hot tub, a loose dishwasher, dirty dishes in cabinets, and even a cockroach in the kitchen. Rotted fascia boards fell onto the deck during our stay, basic supplies were inadequate for a 3 week stay, beds & bedding were uncomfortable, loose & screwed down stair runners appeared to cover stained carpeting, management arrived unannounced during rain to apply more caulk to the ceiling. This was our 1st time using VRBO. We contacted management requesting partial reimbursement & received NO response. VRBO also reached out to management on our behalf by email & phone with NO response. We were ultimately told that we could have been relocated had we called during our stay, something we were not aware of at the time. NO resolution was provided."
