"This was a hugely disappointing stay. We had spent two nights on the other side of the river on our way down through France and had hoped for better things. Our experience was that we were 'end of season', that staff had lost interest in their guests. We had a very matter of fact welcome and from then on may as well not have been in the hotel. "Comfortable bed and the kitchenette was adequate for small snacks. Close enough for the city centre. Underground carpark with about 25 spaces but costs extra. Staff friendly and helpful. Some noise from the nearby railway line but NOT so much as to disturb sleep (we had the window open as it was hot weather. No air-con but the hotel had provided a portable fan. "
