Overall really pleasant stay. We loved the fireplace tucked into the woods and the ping pong table. The house and rooms are really large, but they could benefit from adding multiple beds in some of the rooms so people don’t have to sleep on couches, and minor easy updates to decor throughout the house would make this property stand out. Really good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
This location was a perfect location. Only 10 minutes to Visitor center or Cadillac Mountain or a short drive into Bar Harbor. The property had plenty of entertainment options for our group. We loved the great room and the openness of the downstairs made meal time a great family event.

Family time in a great spot
We loved the spacious home since there were nine of us. Well stocked kitchen except for lack of dishwasher. We used all the amenities-- kayaks, hot tub, ping pong, fire pit, grill and had a a great time together. Lovely property by the river.

Acadia gem
This house is great for families including multigenerational families. We loved the tire swing, fire pit and hot tub. Having the high chair and pack and play was a nice surprise. Maybe you could add it to the home’s amenities so future families don’t have to rent them like we did. Great location to access the park and for excellent restaurants in bar harbor.

Large famalies/groups. Outdoor relaxing with firepit and plenty of firewood, to good times on the deck, hot tub clean and enjoyable, to the spacious rooms for conversations and added fun. The home fit 8 adults very well. Appreciated the little extras of trash bags, detergent, dishsoap,HUGE plus. Great House!
The kitchen was well equipped, although it doesn’t have a dishwasher…just FYI. Some other reviews mentioned being on the main road with traffic. We didn’t mind that at all. The house was so centrally located that we were able to get to all of the island within 10-20 minutes. It was a great location!! And the back of the house is very peaceful and secluded…no other houses around. We made a fire in the fire pit most nights and enjoyed kayaking around the river! The hottub was great after all the hiking we did. Our family of 8 were very comfortable there! Thanks!
This is a great house for a large family. The back yard and deck are wonderful! Access to the quiet side of MDI is so easy and nice, and access to the busier side is 10-15 minutes away when that's what you're looking for. Host is very responsive and helpful!
We enjoyed our stay at this house. Very comfortable for a large family.

Acadia Cottage
Great location- centrally located on Mount Desert Island. Enough room for 10. Great fire pit, kayaks and forest behind house. The hot tub was not working.
property was nice and quirky but was not ready when we showed up an hour past check in time. other than that, the back yard is beautiful. lots of room and activities.
House location is perfect for Bar Harbor and Acadia. Water way behind house was really nice for kayaks, which are provided with the rental house. Fire pit was a great addition to the house for family nights. Overall, house was great. Could use some updating of couches in first floor living room for more comfortably. No a/c on first floor. If listed in rental I missed it. Temps were higher than expected the week we stayed so it was hot. Upstairs bedrooms and family room were much nicer and comfortable to relax in.

Perfect Home for Families Visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia
We stayed at this beautiful home for Fourth of July week. It was me, my husband, our three sons (ages 7, 5, and 3) and my parents who are in their 70s. The house had plenty of space for all of us and was very comfortable. It was very clean upon arrival. The boys loved the hangout room with ping pong and foosball. They especially *loved* the tire swing in the front. We grilled and used the fire pit which were so much fun. The house was well stocked in the kitchen with any gadget you could possibly need. The location was perfect, very easy to get to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Some reviews mentioned there not being a dishwasher - but there was one that worked very well during our stay! Zero negatives to note, we would definitely stay at this cottage again.
We loved every second of our stay! It was amazingly located, with the town of bar harbor 13 mins away one way, and Cadillac 20-25 minutes away the other! The house was spacious and fit all 10 of us just fine with only one person on the sofa bed, which was more comfortable than others I’ve laid on. We used the fire pit (with a great supply of covered wood), the kitchen was well stocked (could use some seasoning re-up but nothing that couldn’t be handled). It was clean, homey, and spacious. We loved it! The water behind the house was nice to sit by after long days. The group thoroughly enjoyed. My only personal peeve was the length of the door code - it’s very long, hard to remember, and if we were too slow it would make us start over. Safety is best but when you’re tired it was cumbersome lol.
