10/10 Excellent

"My son and I stayed here for 1 night before flying out the next morning. We loved it! The room was comfortable and clean. Bonus points for having a mini fridge! Very friendly check in staff, which was appreciated after a long travel day. We didn’t get the breakfast because we wanted to try the bakery next door. 10ish min walk to the Rainbow Street area. Parking wasn’t ideal but I was able to find street parking after driving around a few times. Definitely recommend!!"

"I would have given a full five star because the building is beautiful. Rooms are beautiful. The staff is kind and helpful. Amenities are great! however, the shower drain really gave off a bad smell and the vent in the bathroom isn’t strong enough to remove the drain smell and it creeps out into the room so that was very unfortunate because everything else was fantastic. Location was fantastic staff was kind. Everything was top-notch but the drain smell was pretty bad. I hope the management can work on that."

"You will pay dearly for dining out in Rekyavik, so keeping that in mind, avoid the tourist trap restaurants and consider Grandi hotel / bar especially for lunch dinner... The breakfast bar offers many options and is always being replenished. However, the emphasis of our review is that the bar / restaurant is an excellent choice for dining out. The quality and presentation of the food options are consistently excellent. We initially tried some other restaurants of good reputation, and except for one meal, all were of excellent quality and service was friendly. That being said, we chose to eat most of our meals at the Grandi bar restaurant. At Grandi, the bar / restaurant service is exceptional. The menu is not huge, but there is definitely thought put into trying to offer something that will appeal to a range of tastes. In our opinon, the food and service far surpassed the other restaurants outside of the hotel and in the main tourist areas, especially considering the price point for dining out in Rekyavik. In particular, try the seafood soup, cauliflower wings, rack of lamb and ribeye steak. OUTSTANDING!!!!!"

"Room wasn't very clean, we found hair on the sheets. The staff at the reception were meh! Never said hi or hello when we walked in. Some were busy on their phones, or talking with each other, etc. Gym was closed at 10p during summer months when everyone is awake and out late!! Room was very small, but worked for us. Otherwise, it was an okay experience Location of the hotel is amazing!"

"Service: The front desk and customer service were top-notch and excellent. Dining & Value: We chose the half-board option. The hotel restaurant is very good and represents a great value. The Room: Very nice room. We opted for a balcony, which was wonderful for regulating the indoor temperature, letting in a fresh breeze, and catching some sun. Location & Convenience: The hotel is perfectly situated at the end of the commercial strip. Plus, there is a bus stop right outside for the airport Flybus and many local tours, which made getting around incredibly convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience in Reykjavik!"

"Great stay , cozy rooms , clean , good location, bus stop 13 right next to to it breakfast buffet not worth it unless it’s included in your booking (which honestly should be for all rooms ) One small gripe , would be nice if outlets had adjacent USB attached to them Would absolutely stay there again and recommend to others"
