"The bed was comfortable and the rates were very reasonable. Our window had a really nice view of the waterfront. We were in the A wing first floor which was a walk from the lobby area. Our bathroom needed serious updating and everything clogged frequently - the sink, the toilet, the shower! They told us that there was a backlog of maintenance requests so we didn’t even bother putting in an order during our stay. The staff were available and seemed professional. I thought the site said there would be free breakfast, but this was not the case. It was $16.95 all you can eat buffet style. "Lovely property in a pleasant neighborhood. Check-in and -out was easy. The furnishings were comfortable and well taken care of. The front porch was very inviting. I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair in the evening. The backyard is fun, sporting a swingset, playhouse and play equipment for kids. There’s also a koi pond with small koi fish. It was fun to sit out there and watch the fish. A gregarious, friendly orange tabby cat, who is a stray, visited the last night I was there. He enjoyed the cat food I fed him that Jill, the owner, had for him should I want to feed him. The bathroom had all the usual functions including a bidet. Cushy, soft bath towels were lovely. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows of various firmnesses to choose from. The bedroom also had a ceiling fan - a bonus for those who like to sleep cooler.The kitchen sports a generously sized fridge, pots, pants, utensils and whatnot. I was able to cook breakfast everyday. It is an older kitchen and it’s clean. There is a dining room with a table that seats at least 6. The neighborhood was quiet. A few blocks away, there’s a pharmacy. In the other direction, a pizza plac, a used bookstore / coffee shop, and a local ice cream shop (the ice cream is quite good). Getting to the freeway was quick & easy, too.I’d gladly stay here again. "

"It's my fault for not realizing the balconies facing the river are also located above the highway. I was not able to sit outside in the night or morning due to the insane traffic noise. Again, my fault for not researching more. Paid a premium rate for the room and couldn't even use it. "

"The house(mansion) was incredibly beautiful. If you reserve the Pepin Room, the bathroom is detached. It is in the first floor and the guest rooms are all on the second floor. We ended our stay with an amazing breakfast and great fellowship with other guests. "

"Great house for us and our adult kids. We walked along the river, and they went downtown to enjoy the night life. The VRBO is comfortable, well laid out for privacy, and convenient for visiting family."

"Hot tub and fenced yard were great! Small house but kitchen and bathroom redone nicely. Not the best street but off street parking is great. Bed in main room is a little creaky and hard, but other bed is very comfy! Overall a great stay! "
