"The driveway is VERY steep so an elderly couple might have issues parking and maneuvering the steep stairs. It was fine for us. We had an ant issue the first day but the management company was quick to respond. Someone had thrown a bag of scattered trash in the back of the property so management company cleaned that up. The shower handle in the upstairs bathroom was broken so we showered downstairs. The window frames were very dusty / spider webs with dead bugs and we learned very quickly not to leave the outside patio lights on when entering the cabin unless you wanted an invasion of bugs attracted to the lights. We loved the view and the location was perfect for our stay. The kitchen was well supplied and the inside furniture was comfortable. The outside wicker furniture was broken (especially on the upstairs back patio). We would stay again."

"Everything was exactly as described. I had no communication issues with the host. There was plenty of space, with four bedrooms and enough bathrooms for everyone. The best part was how quiet the property was, even though it was close to the main road, especially at night. My family and I had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time there."

"This lovely property provided us a quiet and peaceful escape from the city. The historic feel of the property adds to its overwhelming charm. The location is perfect as it's tucked back in the bay but still offers amazingly beautiful views. There are plenty of stairs so if mobility is an issue this might not be the place for you. We loved that there are bedrooms on every floor so we could spread out for some privacy. The beds were comfy and the solitude of the outdoors made sleeping comfortably easy. Big Bear has so many activities available and this cabin was close to it all. I would love to visit again on a future trip and spend my time on the patio gazing at the lake and its surrounding wildlife. (We spent quite a while photographing a heron nesting in a nearby tree. Spectacular!) This cabin feels like home and I'm grateful we got to spend time there making memories with our family."

"Spending a week in Big Bear was so relaxing. I was welcomed and check on to make sure I didn’t have any questions. I went right before a snow storm and was fortunate to have help when digging out of the snow to leave. Ultimately, I was thankful for the cabin and all its amenities, clean, cozy… it was perfect. "
