"I've stayed here many times over the years. It's very convenient to U C Berkeley and downtown Berkeley. It is generally an excellent hotel. I just wish their mattresses were a lot more firmer."

"We stayed here for an event at the oakland coliseum its about a 35 minute walk so its perfect! not much is around tho just a dunkin/gas station a block away. the hotel is clean and staff is super friendly. the rooms are just okay maybe needs a more modern remodel. good food is around to be delivered. will stay here again!"

"Very clean. Good to have restaurant on site. Glad to be walking distance to Trader Joe’s and many stores. Enjoyed the free shuttle around town. Staff was helpful. Coffee at the restaurant was very good!"

"Employees were very polite, never had to wait in a long line at the desk. Very pretty location, and got a room at a reasonable rate (months in advance). Parking was $45-not cheap. And they charge because they can-not because it is in the middle of a downtown area. In other locations, the parking could be free. There were some dirty undies left behind by a previous guest in the bathroom cabinet. Not awesome. And there was a key card from a previous guest under the nightstand. The mini fridge was not plugged in. I tried to plug it in through the hole in the back of the dresser, but that didn’t work. So, I removed the mini fridge from the dresser, moved it under the desk & had a working mini-fridge for my visit. The bathroom & floors looked clean. The beds looked clean. The shower looked clean. The garbages were clean and empty on check in. But, cleanliness comes in to question when previous guest belongings are overlooked. It happens, but ick."

"The view of the bay was lovely. The bar and grill food and adult beverages were yummy."

"Our room was lovely and very clean. The pool was full of families, and I saw several airport employees in the lobby which is always a good sign. The view was beautiful both day and night (we paid for the bay view). Breakfast was average for a free hotel buffet. It is incredibly close to the highway and even closer to the train station. We were not staying here on an extended business trip, but this would be a great place to do so with the kitchenette. The only slight downside is the parking, while it was plentiful, had I been alone at night I would have felt a bit uncomfortable. It’s not covered, and I didn’t see any security. I absolutely would stay here again."
