"Perfect spot to stay in Hartford right in front of the capital"

"This hotel was so bad that we ended up not even staying here. We arrived around midnight and the doors that were supposed to be locked after 9pm opened right up for us, no key card, no buzzer, nothing. Then we checked in and check in went fine. We got up to our assigned room and immediately once we stepped off the elevator, the entire floor smelled like cigarettes despite being a smoke free hotel. We go to our room, open the door and it smelled like someone was sitting in the room actively smoking. We went back down to the front desk and no one was there manning it. After waiting about 5 minutes for someone to return to the front desk, I began searching for other hotels. While searching for other hotels, two individuals who appeared to be high on meth wandered into the hotel. There was zero chance I was staying here with my pregnant wife. Luckily we were able to find a room at the Hilton. We immediately booked it and headed over there. Terrible hotel experience, I’m fighting to get my money back as I type this."

"The staff was welcoming and friendly. The property was very clean, my only problem(s) was the room smelled like smoke for a non smoking room. The other problem was the mold on the ceiling in the bathroom it’s not healthy. It was a good stay for what it was needed for a weekend stay to spend time with family. The breakfast was good and helped to get the day started. My husband and I would definitely stay again."

"First night, 3 of us in a renovated king suite. Shower would not get even as warm as the room air. No linens for pull out. Requested linens, none came. Told front desk about no hot water in the am, maintenance came up turned on the shower said they would be back. He headed out for the day and told front desk we were leaving and shower was still not fixed, running,waiting for maintenance. I book a second room due to the horrid pull out bed.12 hrs later, we come back and shower was left on the entire time, still no hot water. No hot water in any of the rooms apparently by design. The put new shower knows in and only allow it to turn 1/4 of the way. Pool was not heated, shower in Pool cold. No restroom in the pool area. I was told they would credit me back something but that never happened. They did not seem to care that the guests were unhappy. There were public hairs in the bathroom, makeup on pillowcase. Just sad. Wish they cared about their guests."
