"Our family of 6 had a great time during our stay. The property was exactly as described, in a beautiful and peaceful location with views of the ocean. We had space for my husband and four kids with two bedrooms and the pullout sofa, and appreciated the convenience of having a washer and dryer to use in the middle of our trip. The home was well taken care of, clean and we felt welcomed as if staying at a friends home. The host did a great job of communicating before the trip, even offering lots of suggestions for the area for us to check out. We would highly recommend this rental and would love to stay here again!"

"The home was very well maintained. It was an ideal location not far from the Lavender Festival activities. I would consider staying here again. The second night, I had to contact the host after 10 pm. The host was pleasant and responsive. This is not a deal breaker, but the noise travels easily from the above unit. I wish I had brought my noise canceling headphones.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. "

"We loved our stay here. The home served as a base for my family while we explored the Olympic national Forest and other local activities. It's location is well situated to take full advantage of all the area has to offer including whale watching in the bay, bird watching and beach strolls on the nearby spit, and plenty of lakes and forest trails to explore. It's hard to pick a favorite feature but the primary shower, exceptional hot tub, and chef focused kitchen were all enjoyed. The only surprise was that the lower level is rented separately and I was not clear on that when we arrived. This did not damage our visit whatsoever but I do think it should be mentioned before arrival as we accidentally tried to gain entry to the lower unit and disturbed those guests before realizing the proper entrance for our stay. "
"Thank you for a great stay. The Writers Retreat is a fantastic escape from the crowds with amazing deck views. From the deck we watched the deer and a bald eagle bringing fish back to the nest. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a night in after a day of hiking. The house is close to the park but far from the crowds. It is not “fancy” but it was perfectly comfortable. There are games, books and even binoculars to watch the animals! Our family of four had a great stay! "
