"Charming beautifully decorated cottages. We enjoyed fire place, deck, library, and pottery workshop. There is a delicious healthy breakfast served in the cafe every morning. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We hiked to a nearby village. We will definitely come back. "
"Beautiful B&B in the country with beautiful horses, sheep and goats on the property. They offer riding lessons and walks too. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. This is a basic accommodation but very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was excellent as well. Breakfast was self-serve continental and adequate. Will definitely be back. ❤️"

"Quinta das Lágrimas has such an important and interesting place in Portuguese history, which we enjoyed learning about during our stay. The old house and surrounding gardens are beautiful and romantic, even in the winter. Our room was in the spa wing, and it was large and comfortable, but the “Queen” bed was actually two twins pushed together (which is common in Europe), the shower flooded easily, and the bathroom door was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. "Really very nice. Just outside the centre and old quarter but easy enough to walk. Parking isn’t private. It’s in the road but easy enough and close enough. I would say a very safe area.
Breakfast was on the roof terrace (or inside). Very nice. Decent enough selection. Continental style. Very nicely presented.
Room was fairly small but totally sufficient. Bed too hard for me but ok for my husband. We are all different. Very good pillows and linen. Very clean.
