It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture. [Robert Heath Lock] was the Assistant Director of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, in Sri Lanka, around 1910.

"Really good value find. Room was huge, bed was incredibly comfy, staff were great, helpful and polite. The roof top pool / sun deck is great after a day sight seeing. Location good for getting around. 200slr for a tuk tuk to the cenrre or 10-15 min walk.
Ony negative was the proximity to monk 5am chants and the noise of chairs in restaurant above scraping the ceiling late and early.
