"We booked here for 1 night as it was close to the train station. The hotel is not bad but definitely dated. The walls are also very thin so you hear your neighbors even when they are just talking. Everyone was very nice and there are quite a few restaurants and shopping around. Overall very convenient. "

"Really nice place to stay! Short walk downtown. Really really clean! Clean tidy room, nice view with the balcony. We didnt know what to expect about the shared shower and toilet but it was just well made. It is separated from the room, its a single shower with toilet and another toilet you can lock and be by yourself in it. The breakfast for 18chf is really good. Really impressed! "

"My room was spacious and clean. Plenty of hot water. Took me a while to figure out to pull the faucet to get the shower head to work. Loved the bar area with the piano and the appetizers were yummy. Breakfast buffet was good. Very close to the train station, within walking distance, which was convenient for me. "

"Just a few minutes walk from Hb train station near the river and tons of restaurants in this perfect area to stay in. Had very small room, no tv, no safe, very basic toiletries. Breakfast was vegetarian only was ok. "

"I mostly used this as a place to sleep but it seemed like a good place to also work if one needed. So my four star ratings are really only because I didn't have too much interaction with staff or amenities. The hotel is well located with plenty of things to walk to and a tram line right on the street. The only thing I would warn is that with a heavy bag it is something of a long walk to Zurich HB station. Of course if you want to do the tram system you can, but there is not a direct connection. This was the only inconvenience I found. That said, the walk is 10-15 minutes so if you are fit it is totally fine, and actually it is pleasant to walk along the Sihl River. The rooms are really cool and I rate it as one of the best I've stayed in recently, comfortable bed and the night shutters make it dark dark even in the middle of the day if you are the type that likes sleeping in darkness only. Really great! That said, once again, if you are a specific type of person that is a technophobe I would probably avoid. I'm sure you can interact with a clerk or concierge like any hotel if you seek that out but you need to seek it out. Everything is self-serve (including check-in/out) if you choose that. (there are people available to help, just to be clear, but you don't need to interact with anyone)."
