"Only an overnight stop on way to Dover ferry (30 min drive). Everything was very clean and large comfortably bed and bedroom overlooking the beach. Some parts of the hotel could do with a little upgrade but that didn't put me off. Staff was very polite, efficient and professional. The bar was very up to date other than it closed at 1030. That said, I'm glad as I was up at 5am. Great location, especially if you would like a walk along the esplanade/promenade which I read was over 2 miles long. Will use again if I have an early ferry."

Pinewood Camping Pods - At Port Lympne Reserve

"We had a fantastic stay at the Pinewood Camping Pods and were very impressed overall. A small thing to note is that the main car park is on the opposite side of the bridge, so you may need to walk over with your luggage. The resort does offer a shuttle service, but it’s worth arranging this in advance. The food was excellent. We ate at the Garden Room and were really impressed with both the quality and the range of options, especially for children. We also had dinner at the Bear Lodge restaurant, where the food and service were equally good. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The atmosphere around the reserve is beautiful and makes for a very relaxing break. If you’re travelling with children, it’s worth checking the buggy policy before booking. The reserve is quite hilly and some routes, particularly the Trojan Steps, can be challenging with a pram and young children. A buggy would have been incredibly useful during our stay in a Pinewood Pod, but we were unable to access one as they appear to be reserved for certain accommodation types. This was the only downside of an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, a wonderful stay with great food, amazing service, and a unique setting. We’d happily return."

"Lovely room with everything you need. Pub was great for dinner and the breakfast was excellent (Great choice of cooked options and good selection of cereals, juices, yoghurts, croissants etc). All the staff I came into contact with were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Will be staying again next time I am down in the area."

"A super stay in a super house. The house was everything we could have wished for and more. Feels genuinely like a home rather h to an a holiday let. It’s even better than the pictures suggest. Direct seafront access across the (very quiet) road is something else too! Thanks so much"
