"It was an incredible stay in a peaceful, beautiful part of Texas. The hiking offered around the property was gorgeous with views of the surrounding terrain. We were warm after our hike so we swam in the pool, it was very clean and perfect temperature to help cool us down. The free roaming animals were sweet and beautiful, they greeted us shortly after arrival! The back porch was lovely for breakfast or coffee in the mornings. We mainly cooked outside on the grill and enjoyed a fire one night. It stormed while we were there but the cabin was spacious and the sound of the rain on the roof was like a soundscape. We would love to stay here again for longer. "

"Very clean and comfortable! Beautiful surroundings! Host is INCREDIBLY attentive, easy to contact, and friendly! We were there to visit family nearby, so didn’t get to enjoy the house and the outdoor areas all that long. But it was very comfortable while we were there! "

"The cabin was in the middle of everything we wanted to do! John was great to work with. The cabins and property are maintained well! River is down from drought but still flowing. People at Bend General store, friendly. Didn’t bring puppies, but could have."

" Absolutely Wonderful Riverfront Getaway!Our stay at Karen’s beautiful riverfront property was simply perfect! The home was spotless, fresh, and incredibly comfortable — ideal for a family getaway. The thoughtful touches made Kayla’s birthday extra special, especially the lovely flowers and cookies left for her — such a warm and personal surprise!We had a blast paddle boating on the river and loved spending time with the exotic animals (and the feed provided was such a nice touch!). The birding opportunities were amazing, and the entire setting felt peaceful and rejuvenating.Karen was a kind and attentive host who responded quickly to any questions we had. The homemade cinnamon rolls were absolutely exquisite — truly the best we’ve ever had!This was one of the most relaxing and memorable trips we’ve taken. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a family-friendly, refreshing escape by the river!"

"This place was amazing. The owner was fantastic. Made us feel right at home. The cottage was very clean with amazing view. Every morning when you awake and walk out onto the 2nd floor deck your subject to see any of different species of animals Ty has on this amazing place. Our last morning we awoke to see a Sika deer standing by the pool. Adriaan was an excellent tour guide. He was very patient with the grand kids while feeding the Rhino and giraffes. Very knowledgeable about the animals and the land. Caught some nice bass in stock pond. We will definitely be back."

"What a wonderful get away! We arrived with a warm welcome to the property, we loved all of the animals and more. The fire place outside and the hot tub was an amazing nice relaxing addition to our stay! We will be back with the whole family to rent both properties!!Also they added a hook for our 3 month old to have her swing since that’s all she loves! We are extremely thankful for the outgoing little things that was provided to make our stay a little more peaceful "
