"We are coming here about 30 years. This time the pool was extremely dirty. It was closed pool mid day at 100 degrees to add chlorine powder for about 30 minutes once over an entire weekend. Ice machine flooded since pipe disconnected from machine. Not fixed not drained while we were there. Got extremely bitten from mosquitoes. Music was off by the hotel so one quest blasted their music making it difficult to read or listen to a book with a bud in my ear or just relax. Very disrespectful without any intervention when reported. People come a stay at the pool as guests of guests or just knowing nobody check and they flaunted it to others that paid a lot for their room. This limited the numbers of chairs available poolside for the actual guests. Property in the older wing and pool is getting old and unfortunately not being maintained. This was not a good experience. Every other time was great. Hope things improve because we have great memories here. Sorry."

"We chose this property because of its location. We were staying the weekend to be near our son and his family who live in the Highlands. The location was excellent. It had a beautiful rooftop to view the fireworks on the fourth. The house was clean. And it was cool, even with the horrible heat wave and storms we had over the weekend. We were able to communicate with the owner via text. When we had a storm and lost power, he reached out to us immediately, which we greatly appreciated. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was because it was advertised as having three beds, and the third bed was just a mattress in the living room on the floor."

"Grace's home was such a lovely and cozy stay! The room was set up well with a private bathroom, both were clean. We appreciated the neighborhood, since there were many restaurants and several beaches were a quick drive away. It was a great way to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. We found that Grace and her partner were so friendly and engaged when we spoke to them. She also made the extra effort to lay out breakfast for us every morning, which we appreciated and enjoyed. We would happily stay at Grace's beautiful home again!"

"The host was very nice and accommodating, from the pictures it looked like there would be more “toys” or things for kids but there was just a box of mixed up board games. The house was in a nice location in regards to the beach and the little down town area was walkable distance. The only thing I noticed was in the master bedroom the comforter looked a little dirty/ stained. I used to clean airbnbs so that could be why I noticed it. Overall it was a nice stay. The tiki hut could use a little TLC as it was not like the pictures. Each room has a window unit as well which I didn’t notice in the listing but was not a big deal."

"Great little place! Teresa was very easy to communicate with. Very responsive. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch. And it was so nice to have clean towels and some toiletries, especially because I forgot a few items."

"The house is very charming, comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is peaceful yet well situated for walking, biking, a day at the beach and there is no shortage of restaurants and bars nearby. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities throughout the house. We would definitely try to stay here again if returning to the Highlands!"
