"The first couple nights were fine. The pool and pool bar were fun, the proximity to the Riverwalk was great. On the third morning, we woke up to find that the hotel was starting a renovation project. The lobby was cleared, the pool was drained, and there were construction workers and machines everywhere. Nobody warned us that this was coming. We had planned to enjoy our last full day at the pool and instead had to spend a couple hours arguing with Hilton to get compensated, which was unsuccessful. None of the hotel employees seemed to care that everyone was majorly inconvenienced. We ended up having to switch to another hotel for our last night. Sadly, I would never go back here. "

"There was a weird pink stain on some of the laundry that I noticed before I even used it. The shower curtain had yellow stains which tells me it went a long time without being cleaned. The fridge was a drawer and since the concierge didn't tell me that it was the fridge (a guest did), I didn't know where it was for a while. It was set to fridge only and locked out of freezer mode so my ice cream melted and I didn't realize it right away. I also didn't realize that shared meant like a dorm style apartment like what my cousin used to live in, in college. I wouldn't have booked the room had I fully realized what that meant (because if I wanted that, I could get cheaper) but there's no kitchen or microwave in the room and the fridge has no freezer setting. Guest who told me about the fridge drawer was not expecting her space to be shared and had apparently been put there without explanation prior to arrival, so she had the pleasure and surprise of finding out when she got there with her kids and husband that there were no other rooms than the shared space. The staff was cordial but not welcoming and I noticed some were irritated with me during pre check in. These are small things. But for the price of the room, pet fee for bringing my dog and parking, I don't feel that it was worth what I paid. Ballpark of $270/night for the room, $30/night for the parking, and $50/night for my dog. I could spend the same amount at the Westin and get better service and amenities."
