"Family of 5, with a 6 yr old, 5 yr old, and 2 yr old... we thought this property was just perfect for us. The food was surprisingly good - well seasoned at every location. The pools and waterslides were great. And the kids loved the random daily activities and night shows. A few points of improvement: there was cat poo that didn't get cleaned for a few days on the stairs, and a baby pooed in the shipwreck pool on our last day and we had to leave that area... but otherwise, a great trip. We would recommend to another family around similar ages. We would not recommend the property to couples (unless you go to the adults only section, but the buffet is still filled with young kids), and would not recommend to a group of young adults as there is zero disco or nightlife other than the PG evening activities that end pretty early."

"Overall the resort was clean and the staff was helpful and professional. We were given 2 Rooms in the Reserve which were very spacious and cleaned twice a day. We made reservations for Hibachi the first night which was great. The second night we had reservations at Cielo (Mexican) which was pretty terrible. How does the Mexican resort mess up Mexican food? The birria tacos were far from birria..watery & very plain. The short rib was pretty basic and the sweet potatoes description as a side was misleading because it was smeared on the plate as presentation only..not a side of mashed sweet potatoes. The appetizers were just ok. We decided to schedule Hibachi for our third night to avoid another unpleasant dining experience. The buffet for breakfast was good. The lunch & dinner buffet items were just ok with not a large variety. The beach unfortunately was a huge disappointment because of the Sargassum. The water was brown and murky and smelled horribly. Although the beach/sand was cleaned it was still impossible to be near it due to the smell. The smell also reached the pool area and hit you in the face the moment you walked outside your room. The overall entertainment at the hotel was sub par. We have stayed at resorts where they have karaoke shows and other theater shows but there was none of that. Sometimes there was music playing at the pool, sometimes it was very quiet. Staff/pool entertainment was no -existent except for once daily aqua-exercise."

"The property itself was well maintained and visually very nice. However, our overall experience was somewhat disappointing, especially as a family with a toddler. There were very limited activities for families beyond spending time at the pools, so the resort felt lacking in options for young children. The telecom/operator service was also difficult to reach, as calls were rarely answered. We were also unable to enjoy the private beach during our stay due to a significant amount of seaweed. In addition, we had informed the resort that we were visiting to celebrate our toddler’s birthday, but the birthday arrangement was sent one day early. While we appreciated the gesture, it felt poorly coordinated, and we had expected a more thoughtful effort given the occasion. Overall, the property is well kept, but the service and family-focused experience did not fully meet our expectations."

"The staff was lazy. Don’t waste your money on platinum you will have to walk about 10 min to get to the lobby because the golf carts are either not passing or they just left your stop and it will take them 15 min to come back. Also the price for better rooms is not as it looks. The drink are just juices and when you ask for double on a margarita or any cocktail they give you a face. If you are going in a big group (6 or more) don’t do this resort. The service is bad, not everyone is bad but a great majority of the staff doesn’t want to work."
