"I stayed in a shared room with 20 beds but only like 5 other people actually there. It was pretty chill, great location and access to lots of restaurants and downtown Auckland right there. Lots of lockers including under my bottom bunk, just used my own lock and had no issues with it. Showers nice and hot, very clean space overall. Great big kitchen and the staff was awesome. Would stay here or another haka lodge again for sure!"

"The property was right in the middle of the CBD, easy to access, easy to find, easy to move around. The most importantly was the room, very clean, the view to the CBD was perfect, OMW the bed was so clean and very comfy. I can stay all day and night long. So perfect to come home from the hard day at work, have a shower and get on the bed, Iwas able to relax, watch a bit of TV time and go to sleep straight away. "Great location, and very convenient, and tucked away nicely on a relatively quiet street. Once booked, there were a number of steps to complete before checking in, so be forewarned that you will have to fill out some forms, provide ID, payment info, etc. etc. before you can check in and access the property. It's a bit cumbersome, and I would avoid booking if given another chance. The property is also on the first floor, and the entrance/exit is the balcony sliding door--it also makes for...

"We booked this property because it was a handy location, unfortunately we had also booked it because it said we could have 3 separate beds and because I was booking it for 3 students that didn't really know each other it was appropriate they have their own beds. I have just been told they were only provided with a double and single bed. This has put me in a rather awkward position. They were not confident to ask for this to be changed."

"The most disappointing thing about this place was the bathroom facilities. There was mould everywhere in the shower - up the walls, on the ceiling. The shower curtain looked liked it hadn't been changed in decades...it was scary to touch. The place also smelled of cigarettes....not very pleasant. While it is a hostel, I have certainly stayed in better hostels both in Auckland and major cities around the world. By far the worst hostel I have stayed in."

"We went to the Queen Concert so fantastic location. No AC meant it was very warm as no air from outside could get in. One thing to pass on is to give a description of how to find your room as we arrived after the reception was closed and had no clue how to find our room. Luckily we found someone that could help us."
