"This is a budget hotel but has new carpets. The rooms have been painted and the rooms were clean. As I walked out two lots of maintenance staff went in with tools for repairs. This is not posh it is basic but the owners are investing. The restaurant building is not part of their operation, is closed and looks like a bomb site at this time but I think this hotel at half the price of others near by is acceptable if you just need a bed for the night. "Before staying at this hotel I had read about how they had done work to improve it and effectively this was clear in the rooms. They were clean and the bathroom was in a new condition. The staff were extremely efficient and helpful. However there are a couple of areas that could still use improvement. The mattress was thin and thus hard as I was you feel the support underneath. "Hotel stay before an early flight the next morning. Staff were so friendly and helpful, offering us a heater when we asked for an extra blanket. Bottled water in room on arrival. Room was quite spacious for 3 of us, bathroom small but clean and perfectly fine. So close to the airport and could leave car there for £6 a day. Taxi was £5.50 to airport so much cheaper than paying for airport parking. Would stay again pre flight."
