"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Jacobite House. Our room was very clean, quiet and had all of the amenities we needed. The staff were also very friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. Additionally, house is located in a very central location, which is easy to walk to everything. My only comment would be that the bed was a little hard for our taste and it is a hike up some steep stairs with your suitcases if that is difficult for you. Overall though I would definitely...

"We stayed in the cottage which stands separate to the main building and it was pleasant. We had our evening meal in the main building and there was a good selection of foods at typical prices if comparing to pub food in a town. Breakfast is Continental and guests expecting a full cooked breakfast need to be aware of this. "

"We were made welcome. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of parking. Although we were not offered any meals at the hotel, the town offers places to eat. The hotel appears to be under new management who are keen to make it a success. From the outside, the hotel is in need of some TLC and we found this off-putting at first. "Pretty disappointed overall with my stay. Had there been other options when booking last minute I wouldn't have booked. The room had long black hairs all over the floor and bed when I arrived. The sheet was very thin with dirt on it. Issues that had to be fixed like the window getting stuck and the shower tap being stuck on scalding hot. "This property is a gem located nearby Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns. The cabin is very new with a clean and functional kitchen as well as comfortable beds. Inverness is a quick drive away or by taxi (we found parking in Inverness to be a nightmare so opted for the taxi.) The owner is on-site to answer questions or help with any problems. Great place to stay if you are visiting the sites in this area of Scotland. "
