"The young lady on reception was wonderful. She could not have been lovelier and i stay in a lot of hotels from expensive to budget and i was so impressed with her. You need to do everything you can to keep her because she made that short stay feel like i was staying at a much more fancy hotel."

The room was noisy at night, with fellow residents coming in and out and there was plenty of noise from the street bellow, so one would find resting difficult if a light sleeper. My bed was comfortable, but being on the lower bunk had its disadvantages and I woke whenever the occupant climbed up and down the ladder. Apart from that, I felt like I was in a warm and safe space. "The hotel is on top of a lovely, vibrant, atmospheric pub (hence some music until late). Very friendly welcome, helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room a little more basic than expected, our "standard" TV did not work but after some help with the WiFi we could get Neflix etc. Bed was clean and comfy, the shower nice and powerful, bathroom a little on the small side. There was a kitchenette however which was great, with kettle and microwave oven, could be useful if staying...

"When I arrived there was no one to show me to my room. I phoned the number on my booking but they could not find any record of me having booked with the itinerary number I was given. They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). He showed me a double room but the toilet was broken, a sign in the door saying do not use. I asked for an alternative room with a working...
