"I will evaluate this hotel for what it is a low budget hotel. The room is quite small, but for me and my wife that only returned to the hotel at night to sleep, it was good enough. The public bathrooms may be a problem for some people, so have that in mind. The location was excellent imo, 7min walk to Kyoto's central station. "Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "We loved staying at Kiki's. Their room is comfortable and clean. They don't advertise this, but the room on 4th floor had an incredible city view of the Kyoto tower! They provide free coffee and have laundry for a fee. The hotel is very modern and looks cool. We'll stay again!"
