"The location of the hotel is very good for us , but the door key didn’t work , we needed to go down to reception every day to get it re activated , which was annoying because we had already gone upstairs. The internet was not working until we got a code from reception although we registered our name and room number several times and that only worked for one day . Otherwise everything else was fine . The room was clean , the breakfast was nice ."

There was some road noise outside with the windows open, but double glazing and air conditioning meant that wasn't an issue."

"Beautiful large and clean room with comfortable beds. The grounds and the pool area are very good- large and well maintained pool with lots of shade spaces. Nature is amazing and people can walk around to get exercise. The breakfast is first class. The staff are pleasant and professional. The only cons are that buildings are run down (exterior) and no hair conditioner or body lotion. The bar and restaurant were closed unfortunately, so no dining options within walking distance."

"Small and friendly hotel within walking distances of Lucca walls and river. Staff treated us like royalty- nothing was too much. Needed a dip in the refreshing pool after humidity of Lucca. Breakfast was brilliant and even had bacon and scrambled eggs."

"This was the perfect way to end our trip, with our young family as we spent pretty much the whole day in the pool! There isn't a great deal directly around the resort, so make sure you've stocked up on food before you arrive....although, it's not far to drive into Pisa if you need supplies! Staff we very helpful and welcoming!"

"Room was well sized and clean. Comfortable for a few nights stay, with very easy access to Empoli city centre and the train station. The hotel staff were very attentive and accommodating - ensuring room was cleaned prior to our return (we had a couple of days where we went out for breakfast and were heading out to a wedding in the afternoon - they very kindly accommodated us!). Room cleaning was exceptional for this sort of hotel and very friendly. Spoken English was good. Nikolo was excellent...

"Stayed in the the Junior suit with a balcony and beautiful view. The staff is so friendly and helpful like a big family! Typical Italian rustic style but very charming hotel. Lucca only about 8 minutes away by car. Will come back again! Breakfasts are the same every day which is a bit boring . We would like to have more options like a fruit salad / soft fruit and tomatoes and eggs to choose from. Other than that - lovely place to stay. Thank you all for looking after us . "Does exactly what it says on the tin. Location is good. Just right outside train station and 5minutes walk to the walls. Rooms a bit dated but good size and functional with a mini fridge. Shower was fine and room keeping did a good job each day. Breakfast was average but think it was free so can’t complain. Bread, hard boiled eggs, selection of pasties and selection of cereals. Air con broke in our room so we’re moved room immediately. Staff were very good and did their best to help us get to...

"The Toscana village is great - so relaxing. The long stay owners are very friendly and helpful, as are the staff. The onsite bar/restaurant is good, as is the pool. There is a local town in easy walking distance with many old buildings, nice bars, and places to eat. On Saturdays there is a food market, so you can stock up on salads, fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses, etc. We can't wait to go back."

"Good value for a stay in the mountains! The staff is very friendly. Even though only 2 out of 3 nights were booked in a Classic room, they upgraded us to a Superior room - which unfortunately is still a bit small. However, the view of the mountains, and fantastic breakfast (beautiful restaurant in separate building up the hill) makes up for it! We wanted to have dinner there, but restaurant was unfortunately closed for dinner over the weekend. On last night, a big bus load of teenage students...
