"Very clean room, lovely comfortable bed, helpful staff. Hotel was quiet, some low-level background noise from nearby roads but got a good sleep. Corridors and public areas a bit worn but there is refurbishment ongoing. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking. "

"Absolutely fantastic choice if you want a budget option that doesn't feel like budget (who doesn't)?! I had booked an alternative on the High Street, but cancelled and plumped instead for North Hill Hotel having read their review. I didn't eat there, but you'd be hard pushed for a better venue for the price. When I stay there again I'll be trying the bar out! Thanks for a wonderful two night stay. "

"Ami at reception greeted us in a polite and helpful way. Believing the hotel had an elevator, (as I haven't visited in quite a few years,) I booked two rooms for myself and for my elderly mother who would not have been able to manage the stairs. Despite my apparent mistake and the short notice, Ami was able to provide us with a ground level room for mum. Thank you Ami! We had a very enjoyable stay as so much has been done to the hotel to make it more attractive to travellers and locals alike....

"The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great value for money and nothing was too much trouble. Only issue we had was that the window wouldn't stay open and because it was very warm in the room we had to place a drawer in position to wedge the window open a little to get some air into the room, but otherwise it was clean a great pit stop for what we wanted."
