"The hotel is very old and has lost the luster of past centuries. There are minimal amenities and the garage is a nightmare to negotiate when full. My room was very basic like an old dorm room but ok for the price. There was no hairdryer. The hotel is in a prime location and convenient for walking about the town."
"I class this hotel as a work in progress, however having since read other reviews it seems to have been for a long time.
Positives - The hotel is close to Telford & the guy on reception was 10/10,helpful & friendly. We lacked toiletries and requested 2 extra pillows. Both provided instantly. Nice quiet location.
Negatives (and i hate doing this as the staff were great) - floor full of dog hair (room didnt smell), 2 small beds put together on a very uncomfortable matress. The shower head would...

"Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting"
"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"An old building with historic interest situated in a town with many interesting old building which is well worth a walk around.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meals and Sunday carvery were tasty and specials were explained.
A thing to note is that there is no lift so mobility needs to be good to walk up stairs which was not a problem for us.
Enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year as still much more to explore in the ares"
