"Nice boutique hotel, short walk to the centre of Fira with its shops and restaurants. We stayed in premium room (with a hot tub on the balcony) which was an average size. While the balcony had a sea view, it was a fair distance away and south facing, so you wouldn’t be able to sit there watching the sunset. "We had a fantastic week's stay in the Smaragdi hotel. Maria and her team were really welcoming And friendly hosts , greeting guests with genuine Smiles and so polite and helpful. The rooms were very nice and cleaned daily. The pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers, and just a 5 minute stroll to the beach and taverna's. "This property is the best if you want to use the local buses to get around either to tourist areas, port or airport. Not only that, front desk reception was so FRIENDLY! Helped so much for our stay. If you find this a negative, it is not in those white building cliff hotels side views with the pools but easily walkable to that area.. around 5 mins max. Only thing that could be better for me personally was the bed was too firm and the AC was not what we are used to in North America. "
