"The Hotel San Marco is a modern hotel with every amenity for the traveler, including hotel bicycles and umbrellas! The location is just a few safe, walkable blocks to the historic walled city. A large buffet breakfast selection starts the day, and a glass of wine at the pool area is a welcome rest at the end af the day. Every staff member is cheerful, helpful and accommodating. Staff is also amazing here - they are not only very helpful but so kind - my mom has dietary/health restrictions so she wanted to heat up her own food and they were so accommodating. It was very appreciated! The breakfast here is also amazing so highly recommend :) "

"Stayed in the the Junior suit with a balcony and beautiful view. The staff is so friendly and helpful like a big family! Typical Italian rustic style but very charming hotel. Lucca only about 8 minutes away by car. Will come back again! Breakfasts are the same every day which is a bit boring . We would like to have more options like a fruit salad / soft fruit and tomatoes and eggs to choose from. Other than that - lovely place to stay. Thank you all for looking after us . "Good hotel, wifi much better on first floor than second -- could boost the signal a bit. I missed the hotel when I got to town and drove around FOREVER looking for it. Turned out, it was REALLY close to the highway exit -- had I looked to the left I would have seen it. Just get off the A-11 and then make a left on the first roundabout (a minor roundabout, looks like a turn). A little awkward to get into, but its REALLY close and convenient. With the language barrier, locals had a hard time...

The staff was friendly, the room well equipped (although a minibar fridge would have been nice), and we liked the breakfast buffet.
