"After rough day driving we were tired when we arrived. The place looked dated and we dragged our luggage down the stairs (Found the elevator later.). BUT, as our four day stay went on we came to enjoy the quirky ‘old world’ 1908 atmosphere. It became the BEST place we stayed in Sicily. Attentive staff at breakfast and at the bar in the evening. "Ok before we booked had read a few negative reviews about this hotel but we were pleasantly suprised. The hotel is gorgeous from the outside and is a perfect location for the beach which is just across the road. We had a balcony room which had a great view onto the beach and sea. The room although a bit dated was extremely clean and large enough for 3 people. The bathroom was fine and the room was serviced everyday by the pleasant smiling cleaners.
