"This is an excellent hotel for one or two nights ( the rooms are small) but very clean, with helpful staff and in a very convenient location only 5 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes walk to Matsumoto castle. The room rate was very good and this hotel offers good value."

"We enjoyed a three night stay while touring the greater Gifu area. The hotel is a bit older but is very well maintained. Everything is spotless, like most places in Japan. Comfortable room, including its size, bed/bedding. Very good breakfast value. Most importantly a real automatic European coffee maker with a strong roasted bean. And it’s available for free all day. "We had a wonderful stay! The property is in a fantastic location, just a 2 minute walk from Takayama Station. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with a great bathtub. Free breakfast had great options. The only downside was that there’s no lift from the ground level up to reception, which might be tricky if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent."
