"Hotel de la Paix was an excellent hotel for us - in east walking distance to all amenities and to the train station. The staff at the front desk were amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The beds were very comfortable. The guest rooms are basic, clean, and had every thing we needed. The breakfast buffet was very good - again with great service. "

"The room was clean and had all the necessities. The kitchen had silverware, plates, pots, pans, and an espresso machine. The bathroom was clean, and the tub was spacious. The bed was comfortable. However, the pull-out bed was uncomfortable and tilted to one side. Additionally, customer service was terrific. They even do your laundry. Overall, I loved my stay here. "

"Nice hotel with great views ( if you get sea view room) of the lake. The rooms facing the road will be noisy and hence when warm, will be a challenge as there is no a/c.Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Mon/Tus. - as are a lot of others in the area!! So beware arriving on these days. Breakfast was good. Drinks on the terrace is possible until 9:00pm - too early to enjoy sunset."

"It must have some shady guests before ... there were signs to tell guests not to cook in the room, sign to tell guests about CHF 100 fine for letting the water leaked from under the shower door. BTW, the shower door is leaking if one uses its rain curtain shower head on top. The only way to avoid the water spilling on the door and leaking out of its bottom gap is to use the hand held. So it is an architectural design fault that the management tried to pin on the guests if they, God Forbid,...
