"The gentleman on reception who checked us in, David, was stellar. Friendly, polite, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The room (4th floor) was relatively quiet and clean tho some of the furnishing had seen better days. Minimal noise from outside, which is impressive given it’s on a busy interchange and close to the railway but some noisy other guests disturbed us a bit"

"Nice hotel , pleasant staff but disappointedly the heating in room 12 didn’t work. Despite twice contacting reception to help fix the issue (which they said they had done by controls at reception) it still didn’t waork and was freezing. They eventually brought manual heaters but this is not the standard I would expect. At no point were we offered another room "

"Toilet did not work upon arrival. A simple check prior to releasing the room would have avoided the problem. Beware of additional spa charges. I booked the room so my disabled partner could swim. However the charges were listed below where I had to select my chosen room type. By below, I mean below ALL the other room types. So despite sellinn you the spa dream, they drip feed additional charges. They also charge you 5 GBP per person for room service. Very disappointing for my wife and hard to see why I would recommend. "

"Had a relaxing stay overall. Friendly staff in lobby,spacious clean rooms with good clothes storage and comfortable beds. Nice to find hairdryer,iron and ironing board in the room. Good sized bathroom with lovely toiletries. Cooked breakfast at 9.30am was cold on our first morning and after microwaving our food,the warmers were switched on by a member of staff. Breakfast was on til 11am but the warmers were off. Breakfast was only warmer on our 2nd day as some trays were empty and freshly cooked food had to be waited for. Pastries,breads and cheeses were good as was the coffee. Nowhere in the information i received or on the hotels website was it specified that the pool was not hotel specific. I thought i was booking a hotel with its own pool & spa for residents. It was a leisure centre attached to the hotel which was open to the public. On going for a swim,half the very small pool was cordoned off for swimming lessons. Managed to do a little swimming but couldn't use the only 2 heated loungers as there were children on them who were not staying in the hotel. Kind of disappointed slightly as it wasn't what i thought and would have preferred it to have been exclusive to hotel residents. The spa was very very good though. Massage & reflexology was well worth it. Relaxing atmosphere in the spa and felt chilled out after treatments. Not a bad stay overall. Would consider staying again."

"Fabulous motel, staff were so lovely & friendly. Room was so clean and decorated beautifully, only down fall I would say is the streaming on the telly so complicated messing with WiFi settings to get it going. But has to channels anyway, ample parking, restaurant was lovely m&s garage in walking distance to. All in all a lovely stay & the drink vouchers for my partners 30th birthday was such a lovely treat. "

"Very pleased with the hotel, shame they charged guests to park while staying at the hotel. I believe this should be free for hotel stayers. Apart from that hotel was pleasant enough and staff were friendly "

"Welcoming atmosphere "

"Arrived to be greeted by a group standing in the front entrance smoking weed. No one from the hotel asked them to simple move a few meters so all areivedcdidnt have to walk through it. Was woken up by dealing going on at 02:15am outside my door. There meals overall are not cheap, but the cheapest option at my point of stay was roughly £12 - but they then charge you £7 to bring it 1 floor which isn’t really 4* service. £6 to park your car a day and no guarantee of a space. The staff were always polite - but that only masks the reality here on somewhere more 2* with 4* prices "
