"Myself and 2 friends stayed for the weekend. We arrived in the rain to this gorgeous cosy cottage with the most thoughtful touches. The beds were comfy and snug, the bathroom clean and a great shower, milk in the fridge, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, granola! We truly cherished our weekend here, the local town is quaint with a choice of take aways and restaurants. "We like Mollie's; its the second time we have stayed here. The rooms are comfortable and pleasing to the eye. MCM is the vibe here. There is tea and coffee in the lobby and they have Dyson hair dryers (the best). You need a car to see the local sites but you can leave the car to the Pear Tree Park & Ride and take a bus into Oxford for the day. The price for parking and bus is 2.5/ person. You can, in this way, avoid the miserable parking and congestion fees."

"Check in was easy, our room was available early. This is a big hotel, very much like a rabbit warren! Staff provided a map with clear instructions how to reach our rooms, which were situated in the rather grim looking Garden Rooms block. Inside, the room was spacious, well appointed with plenty of USB sockets. The ensuite was quite small, but everything worked and some toiletries were provided. There is a TV with a small selection of terrestrial stations available to view. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tidy. We had an early start the following morning, so we asked if we could arrange breakfast before the usual time. They were happy to do this and provided take away boxes, although we didn't realise they were going to put out cereals, had this been the case we would have gone down earlier. We had dinner the night before in the restaurant (there were 10 of us), so had pre booked a table. The menu is extensive with a wide range of food to suit all tastes, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. They also cater for allergies with a separate section for coeliacs. The food was very good. There are plenty of comfortable lounges to relax in, a swimming pool and other leisure facilities. There was no water in the bedroom, but there are beverage stations located in various areas around the hotel, so we grabbed a bottle from one of those. There is plenty of parking, and the hotel is easy to locate from the A34. We would recommend this hotel."

"The location of this hotel is very picturesque and , for us was perfectly located. The staff were very friendly and helpful though they were very understaffed for both our evening meal and breakfast. I can imagine that the hotel in it’s peak would have been an amazing venue but sadly now it is suffering from a lack of upkeep and showing real signs of tiredness in both the rooms and generally around the Hotel."

"Not the 1st time I've stayed in this hotel, and it never disappoints. Whether a standard room or a club one, they are always clean and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and efficient. The amenities are also fab (bar, restaurant, coffee bar, pool, sauna, etc). Across their free car park, there is lots of entertainment that u don't need to go central for (restaurants, bar, hollywood bowl, cinema). Plus 5mins walk there is an Asda shopping area incl shops and a pub. Taxi to the centre is 10 minutes and also not far from the motorway. We will be back again"
