Food was good, not great, but service was fantastic all across the board. Easy to get to and easy to take day trips to Porto Moniz and Funchal. I would recommend Calheta Beach. "

"They say they have parking but its often full. The food at the restaurant is very bad and most of the staff are rude. The views from the room is great though. It feels like a cheap hotel, you just pay for the view and the location (easy to walk to the beach, old town)"

"Super convenient for airport, beach, food and bis station for local activities and rest of island. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and great balcony with sea view. Good buffet breakfast with a few options including cold, cooked, and sweet. Great location, with free parking a short walk (paid parking closer by, but rarely spaces available). New bathroom and amazing shower. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended."

"Views from balcony, location and check in staff were great. Hotel was very clean but a little tired and very dark and stale in the hallways. Bed was saggy. Breakfast buffet was extensive in choices and decent in quality. Staff there really friendly too. "

"The location next to the ocean is a bonus. Listening to the waves in the morning and evening brings great serenity. The staff is also very friendly. There was one woman in particular that made it even more enjoyable. I wished I had asked for her name. She helped me picked out some guided tours for the time I was there. She even wished me a happy birthday before I left. It’s those little thoughtful moments that makes it memorable. When I return, I will definitely go back there. "

"Beautiful and continent hotel! The beds were not comfortable and the air does not blow on the beds so we were very hot the two nights we stayed with the air as cold as it would go. There isn’t a way to drop luggage off at the front door so be prepared to walk a bit. The staff was so helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating! "
