"The property is nice - good sized rooms with a kitchen. Great onsen looking at the mountain. Great breakfast, and good dinner (although we were the only two people in the whole place!). Very far from resorts and restaurants. limited shuttle service from hotel, and had several instances of no taxis being available. Not a knock on the hotel, but know you are secluded. I will stay in Grand Hirafu next time."

Unfortunately the breakfast rooms were at least 500 metres away, I was in the South wing and all the breakfast places were in the North wing. Because the hotel is so huge with many different levels and many special areas it was initially difficult to actually find the breakfast rooms. "Almost perfect… except the Onsen, which is a key component of any ski holiday in Japan. The onsen was fantastic and we used it twice a day. However it was largely ruined by Chinese guests who disrespected Japanese culture - and all other guests using the onsen by getting straight into the bath without washing first. We were not the only guests who felt this. The signs and instructions for onsen use were in Japanese and English only. Need to have signs in Chinese too. "

"Nice three-bedroom apartment with an amazing view of Mt. Yotei (looks like Mt. Fuji). We came to ski and the property was tucked back on a side street about 1/2 mile from the resort. The staff provides a free private van shuttle during the day to and from the resort or to and from any local shops or restaurants, with a little notice.
