Under refurb right now, but noise was at a minimum and entry still very clean and the alternatives for bar and restaurant well chosen and efficiently run. "Stayed 1 night in September 2024. As a frequent traveller, I always ask hotels for a Ground Floor room, near to reception, as I have three heavy bags to carry. Usually this request is ignored, but on this occasion, the allocated room was ideal. Very helpful 👍 Good size room, nice breakfast selection. Lovely grounds. Only downside was the bathroom had no heating, and was quite cold. Overall, very pleased, and will book again. "

"Disappointed in our overall presentation in our room. The hotel had very nicely upholstered furniture but the sofa in our room was unsuitable and quite tatty. It felt unfinished. We couldn't rely on an evening meal bring available as the hotel cater for outside functions. We have stayed here before and our experience then was better than this stay. The hotels position for touring is ideal"
