"We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again."

Staff were friendly, attentive and food was good. We had spa treatments which were excellent and enjoyed the spa facilities too. The wonderful walks around the Goodwood estate. Our only criticism was breakfast on the last day of our stay, it was much quieter after a very busy bank holiday but food wasn’t so...

We were impressed by the pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food, the variety of dining and bar areas and the comfortable, well-maintained and quiet rooms (no audible traffic noise). "Despite serving at the bar and checking guests in, the service and attention to detail was spot on. No trouble parking, check in simple and our room was outstanding. The only downside was that there was no chef so no breakfast but that wouldn’t stop us from going back again. "

All the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the lady working the breakfast room in the morning. Breakfast was super with a nice variety of choices and a very satisfying full English.
