"Everything we hoped it would be and more. Friendly, very helpful staff and fantastic food and service which started before we arrived. The views across the Exe are stunning and the extensive grounds beautifully kept. We plan to come back next summer so we can use the beautiful pool and croquet lawn. "A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!"

"Recommend parking in Magdalen Street car park (by the Mecure Hotel) free parking from 6 pm to 8 am (alternative parking in St Mary Arches was expensive).
