"What a lovely place to stay, the rooms are recently renovated and are so stylishly decorated and of a very high standard. Temperature of the room easily controllable, tea and coffee making facilities and lovely touches with high quality hair dryers, lovely smelling toiletries, female hygiene packs, fresh milk rather than little plastic cartons, delivered fresh to your room in the morning. What would make it absolutely perfect and this is me being picky as i travel a lot for work would be a full length mirror, a vessel to collect water from the cooler machine on the corridor other than a glass and i recently stayed in a little boutique hotel that provided homemade shortbread biscuits - now that would be the icing on the cake. Would i stay here again absolutely, the staff are so friendly and obliging, its easy to park and a beautiful place to be in. Given all the floors are hard so no carpets it didn't feel cold and uninviting wish everywhere i stayed was like this! You should be proud Wainstones."

The host was so lovely, welcoming, and made everything feel effortless. You can tell real care goes into every detail. "Beach view from room was stunning, but windows desperatley needed cleaning. Lots of tea and coffee which can easily be replenished at reception (staff were much better this time!) ; rooms aren't tidied unless you request it, which I really liked as you're not disturbed. Location is fantastic, over 100 steps down to the beach but there is a public lift for about £1:50 return, or a number 2 bus every hour which drops you outside the hotel from the sea-front. Lots of eating places plus banks/betting shops near by and a very, very good One Stop round the corner. Parking is a nightmare, beware that I saw a traffic warden handing out tickets early Saturday morning. Lift to lower floors (reception is floor 4) really poor/slow/only carries 3 people. Helps burn the calories though - over 80 steps to reception. Bathroom and shower were really good. Overall positives massively outweigh the negatives and love it here; come by train, burn those calories and enjoy the stunning views, beach/superb sea and the heart of Scarborough! Fantastic value in a place with real character thankyou!"
