"It’s always hard to tell from photos but this place far exceeded my hopes. The property is large, sunny, well designed and landscaped. There are old buildings that blend seamlessly with the new. "Beautiful 1 bedroom suite with all the amenities anyone could want. The space was modernly decorated and had a very home like feel after a day of hiking. We were welcomed with many chocolates and foods of the islands to sample. The manager was very attentive to any questions we had. "This house is exactly as it shows in the pictures. It was in a quiet area and within minutes of driving, you are in Ponta Delgada. The host Joao was quick to answer any questions that we had. "When we arrived Antonio was there to greet us and show us the apt. He also graciously supplied breakfast fixings including; local cheese, buns, fresh eggs, fruit and coffee. "The staff were as nice as the beauty of the hotel. The indoor and outdoor pools were beautiful and walking easily to the beach and shops were lovely. A few things that the hotel can do to make the stay even better: 1) turn the outdoor pool lights on at night, pool is open until 12am but it’s dark, so not safe. 2) change a few items each day at breakfast. Not appealing after day 3. 3) make the emergency pulls longer in the tub. Can’t reach a 5 ft high pull it if you falll!!!"
