Very quaint and great for what it was. Especially with no other hotels in the area, this worked perfectly well. Very nice people who run the place.

Great place!

Wonderful stay! My wife and I, from San Francisco, in company with a cousin from Oceanside, California stayed here about three years ago while visiting my Brother, who lives here. I’m here this week to help him celebrate his birthday. It was a surprise for him so I planned to stay in the hotel for three days, not knowing if I would be able to stay at his house or not. The spare bedroom is his art studio normally. The entire staff of the hotel, from check in to restaurant and bar staff to...

David is a saint! It was like staying with family if family isn't overbearing or meddlesome. And it's a super comfy bed. The location is about 10-15 minute walk into town center or the entrance to the Chalice Well or footpath up the Tor. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

A unique experience, totally in a good way. They've somehow retrofitted a 14th century building with modern amenities while maintaining its historic charm. Loved our suite! Staff was personable and professional. Great food as well! Little English flower garden in the back. Lovely place!

Liz and Grame were absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful and the tow was a great visit.

Wonderful location, staff and breakfast. Full of charm and character.

This is a 17th century pub with rooms above. The only reason i gave the property condition 4 stars is because it is not air conditioned. It is a quaint fun place to stay in a very old English village. The pub and associated restaurant are excellent.

Great stay, very relaxing and welcoming, and delicious food - thank you James and Catherine!

We really enjoyed our stay. Thank heavens for the air conditioning! Nice pub and food was wonderful! Loved our little visit with owners dog, Mable. Very well behaved and friendly.

The Hornsbury Mill is a very charming hotel, set in beautiful grounds with a little lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the bed comfortable. I had the full English (vegan) breakfast and it was very tasty. The one complaint I had was that when the very charming old mill wheel is on and turning (which they switch off at 8pm), the noise made a constant thud in my room and bothered me a little. I assume it won’t be too much of a bother though to most people, who would be in bed well...

Beautiful!

The staff were all very welcoming and conscientious. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The food was outstanding. The continental breakfast was much more than the usual breakfast provided at hotels and inns. We had dinner there too, which was delicious. The inn exceeded our expectations in every way.

The rooms were behind the restaurant. This quaint inn is exactly how I pictured an English inn to be like. Big wooden door and so convenient to the dinner and breakfast.
