Excellent hotel in kind of an Art Deco style in a nice area of Auckland. Not a far walk from the wharf and ferry building. It has a bar on premise with a free drink on arrival. The included continental breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, toasted muesli, Greek yogurt, bread basket and fresh OJ and coffee. Delightful. Alert! The motel does not have laundry facilities as stated in the hotles.com listing. It has a laundry service. There is a nice self-service laundry about 10 min. drive from the motel. Now to the meat. Very clean and recently refurbished. Comfy bed and a kitchen in the unit. The lady at the reception desk is very friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants close by and a 25 minute drive to the airport. This property is a very good value for the money.

Other than weak wifi signal we truly enjoyed our three nights stay. It's a beautiful estate in a beautiful natural setting, a great place for relaxing and going around exploring the nature beauty. The restaurant is great with limited choices but everything is cooked at a fine dining quality.

Location was good and the airport shuttle was able to pick us up from there.

We stayed one night at the Shakespeare Hotel and although we arrived late for check-in, after 10:30pm, we were received with smiles. The hotel has a lot of character and charm, which we loved. An older building, but well-kept. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was great! Especially the afternoon manager, Rudy. He was very helpful and friendly. He was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage (after check-out) so we could see the sights before departing for the airport....

The most magical, beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. If you’re ever in Auckland, treat yourself one night to this beautiful cottage - and ask for the Olive Cottage if possible! You get a private path right to the vineyard/ restaurant! Everything was just perfect during our stay. And the sunsets are breathtaking. Plus the amazing staff leaves fresh breakfast for you each day!

Lauren was such a wonderful host. Everything was perfect. We loved our stay in Snells Beach at Tahi Lodge and wished we had spent more time there.

Adorable country-style wood cabin. Cosy. Very nice breakfast fixings. We stayed there twice on our trip . I would definitely stay again
