Everything was perfect. Cleanliness, amenities, comfort of the beds, hot water for the showers, spacious room and bathroom. I would definitely recommend Homestead Hilsborough guest house!

Well communicated contactless check in, beautiful property and rooms, cute little town, and the breakfast was good! Coffee was great, Charlie makes a great flat white! Parking can be a little bit of a nuisance, and like many historical properties no elevator so if you need help with your luggage plan ahead as the property is not always staffed. Lovely. This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran! Nice gardens, peaceful, & walkable to Tollymore Forest.

We stayed in the Vintage Room at the Lisnacurran Guest House. It was a gorgeous room, very tastefully decorated with antiques. The bed itself had a fantastic headboard with wonderful woodwork. This room had it own separate bathroom that was very large and included a clawfoot tub. Claire was the employee that we dealt with and she was a joy. She had a very welcoming and pleasant personality.

Jessica was so helpful. Told us about the ukulele class we could watch! Good beer, lovely breakfast. Slainte!

The hotel was clean and plenty of parking available. Situated in a nice area. The AC was a bit weak.

I have stayed at hotels all over the World and this one ranks as one of the best. The hotel was spacious, clean and in a lovely country setting. The staff were courteous, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast had lots of options and everything was cooked well. The restaurants provided excellent service and food. All around it was a very pleasant stay.

Clean room, the staff there are wonderful; they genuinely make me feel welcomed and at home, which means a lot to me.

As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful and cozy. The hotel staff was welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bay window view of the sea was gorgeous. I will stay at the Avoca any time that I return to Newcastle.

This property was beautiful and exactly what I needed to get away for a week in July. I got the most inexpensive room and it had a smart tv, spacious shower, very comfortable queen bed with flat sheet and fluffy duvet/comforter and comfy pillows, small library, electric tea kettle, tea cups with spoon and saucer, instant coffee and tea with milk and sugar, space heater, and hair dryer. It also had a beautiful courtyard with colorful flowers. Will return in the future.

I have never been received so warmly at any hotel in my entire life of travels. I wish I could remember the young ladies name who checked us in. She was so helpful and went out of her way to receive us. She literally followed me out to the car to take our luggage in, she stored it until our room was ready and when we returned everything was in our room. When you’re traveling Ireland with children (ours are teenage boys) you need a place to get the energy out before starting a long drive to the south. This hotel provides clean amenities, kind staff, well appointed rooms for families and a pool. This was the perfect stop for us before heading south.
