"We had an excellent stay. The facility was beautiful and the staff was very attentive. There is a type of sea weed that is creating a terrible smell on the coast, and that is definitely present, but it isn’t something that the facility itself has any control over. But just so visitors are aware there is a definite smell all over the island. But the Grand Caribe resort itself was beautiful and the facilities were very clean and comfortable. It was a girls trip with 3 of us and we each had our own suite with a bathroom which was amazing. Highly recommend. Safe and lots of security, not that I ever felt like we needed it, really. Great options for excursions through the concierge as well. "

"Stayed one night due to arriving in Belize City after hours.. next morning caught the water taxi to San Pedro! Great place to stay if arriving after water taxi hours.. they have shuttle service to the water taxi station!"

"You really wouldn’t have to leave resort property beside boat tour for fishing snorkeling or Mayan tours. Swim up pool bar- restaurant- tennis, kayaks etc all there. With that said you would be doing a dis service not to explore the island- people are friendly, tons of places for food- secret beach is a must- say hi to “Speedy” and Alex at the bar. Grab some jet skis and there is a water park as well"
