"This was the nicest place we stayed in Sicily. The staff was absolutely the friendliest and best. They gave us free complimentary breakfast each day. Make sure to ask for an ocean-view room with balcony - absolutely stunning vistas, and you can go out and swim in the crystal-clear warm blue waters or sun on the rocks. Hotel is in Ortigia, the trendy island that was ancient Syracuse, walking distance to wonderful restaurants, shops, outdoor cafes, gelato, and all the important archeological sites...
"Beautiful hotel right on the waterfront with parking (paid) just in front. Excellent service and breakfasts. Room elegant with high ceilings but would benefit from air conditioning for the summer months. Easy walking to seafront and around Ortigia. "

"My husband & I stayed 2 nights in mid-May 2025. We loved this historic and fascinating B&B within a current convent (yes, we saw the nuns!). Comfortable 2nd floor room that opened onto a quiet, shared, shaded terrace. There’s also a ln upper terrace with seattle & sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note: wifi was very unreliable. We parked our rental car at the Talete garage about 10 minutes walk, for €15 per 24 hrs. Overall, this was a great location for us in Ortigia."
"Staff was great, the room was charming and the breakfast was the best in Italy! There was street noise in the later evening as we were trying to sleep. We are not party people. The arrival and parking situation was unclear as this was our first Ortigia trip. I thought that we had arranged for someone to park our car. We had to walk our luggage in to the hotel with no where to park leaving someone with the car and police officers telling us we could not stay there then drive to a public parking...

"This property has it all! Parking, although not free, was close by and safe. The rooftop terrace we enjoyed immensely and the room was very nice. The island is loaded with restaurants and shopping, everything is within a short walk and very safe. We also enjoyed a boat trip around the island. Our host Manuela was very nice and friendly as well!"
"We had a very positive experience at Tramonto Ibleo. The property is new, very clean, and extremely well planned. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are excellent, and the overall structure feels thoughtful and welcoming. The view of the mountains from the hotel is absolutely beautiful and adds to the charm.
There’s a spacious garage available, which is great because having a car is highly recommended. While the nearby beach is not the best, you're just a short drive from stunning spots like...
"A very well maintained set up with modern amenities right at the heart of Ortigia. Walking around, coffee shops, shops and restaurants are all within minutes from the Maeco.
The breakfast served is hearty and of high quality.
We were in Ortigia for four nights and Martina and her crew made it even more special.
