"Massimo’s house is beautifully situated up in the hills of Lucca. The house is clean, well equipped, and absolutely charming. Massimo was an amazing host, making sure we had everything we needed and very helpful with so many great recommendations for spots to visit. "Great base , quiet, just outside city walls, very close to tunnel to walk into the centre. Kettle in room to make a cup of tea, not usually found in Tuscany! Only down side no hot food at breakfast."

"A well located hotel, just outside the city walls, close to the train station but quiet despite being on a main road.Parking is available. The inclusive spa is a lovely treat, especially if you book this for your arrival day, after travelling in. All staff are customer focussed, helpful, polite and pleasant. Breakfast is very good, plenty to choose from with healthy options and sweet treats. The fish restaurant next door was really nice and had a good choice of meals and wines. Our room (65) was well equipped and a decent size, as was the bathroom but the small shower cubicle was a disappointment given the overall size of the bathroom."

"The breakfast buffet was amazing and full of options. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. The thermal spas were relaxing but recommend early so it’s not packed with people. The hotel itself was incredibly hot in hallways due to thermal spas but front desk delivered fan directly to room when asked for. However, if you ask for “garden view” room, it is view from hallway directly outside bedroom which only windows open up to hallway. It is about 15-20 minute drive from Pisa centrale so be prepared for cab fare. But are delish places to eat/drink within walking distance. "

"Beautiful villa just a short drive from Lucca. The room was relatively basic but with an incredibly comfortable bed and in quiet surroundings. The breakfast was fresh and varied and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was perfect for an early morning dip before exploring the surrounding hills and town. I would happily stay here again. "
