"We loved our stay at Shepherd’s Retreat! We had a group of 6 women come to town for a girls’ weekend, and we had a GREAT time! The host was super responsive to all of our questions, the pool was so clean and relaxing, the kitchen was fully stocked, and we got to feed and pet the donkey and all of the sheep!We will keep it in mind for future weekend getaways! "

This is an amazing property!
We stayed in the cobblestone suite. It had a separate seating area, access to a wonderful balcony, a walk-in shower, and a comfortable king size bed. They also provided extra linen/blankets in the closet.
It can be a little confusing on how to access the security desk where you check in and then the hotel but if you follow the very detailed instructions that they send to you and use Google maps to locate the areas you will be fine.

Great property and staff, only downsides are pay parking, lack of free coffee stand in lobby because there is a Starbucks counter instead, and the streets around the hotel have some of the most aggressive panhandlers I have seen even compared to San Fransisco or other large cities.
