"If you're looking for an inclusive and peaceful onsen, then this is for you! I was traveling through Hakone that allowing both tattoos and mixed genders. When we posted for advice on different travel sites, most people said "you're looking for a unicorn that might not exist, good luck". So when I stumbled across a last minute deal for this ryokan, I wasn't expecting much, even though the reviews and pictures were good. But boy, was I surprised! From the moment we arrived we were blasted by a wave of zen and ease. Our check-in was smooth and the place was very clean and beautiful. We were welcomed with kindness and patience, all of our questions were answered in great English, and we were even upgraded to a free third onsen session (2 evening sessions and 1 morning session). We also decided to get their breakfast add-on and it was worth it. There aren't many restaurants nearby within walking distance and after a long travel day we didn't feel like going anywhere before checking out. Overall, our experience was fantastic! If you're looking for an inclusive private onsen that you can enjoy with your family or significant other, this is it! We can't stop gushing to each other about how perfect our experience was."

"Wonderful property and outstanding staff. The rooms are beautiful and the onsen was lovely. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. We ate at the hotel all three nights. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Hakone again. "

"Gorgeous and spacious room. Very inviting onsen area, even in the pouring rain. Nice touch that outfits are provided to walk to the onsen, and it was a long distance from my room. Expensive but delicious meal at the French restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful but they need more than one coffee machine; there was always a line of people waiting. The hotel has beautiful grounds and landscaping, with great views of the lake, which I saw only through windows, sadly, as it never stopped raining during my whole visit. :-("

"I stayed for one night in June 2024. The food was phenomenal and the staff were extremely attentive and considerate. Thank you especially to Megumi who took such great care of me. Having a private onsen with a great view was quite an experience, it was absolutely amazing. They have a free shuttle service for pick up and drop off at Gora Station (and I think other areas close by) so just let them know you need it. This was certainly one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you for having me! "

"Great hotel. Go to the local combini and buy instant noodle and precooked meat slices to make hotpot in your room. One issue relating to hotels.com. Hotels.com did not provide the necessary information for me to enter the hotel. But don’t worry, contact the hotel directly and you will get a Japanese support representative that speaks English. You can trust that the Japanese representative will diligently work to resolve your issue. They will issue you an email with room number and password. However, they will give you an estimate time of 1-2 hours. Just speak slow and they will understand you."
