Borrowdale Gates Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely one night stay at the hotel. Really impressed with the room, lovely view and loved that we had a bath too. The grounds around the property are stunning. The view from breakfast was delightful. Parking was a squeeze, we were lucky to get a space. Would have preferred if the bar/lounge stayed open for the evening but other than that a great stay!"

"Pro. Clean room. Views. Bar. Staff helpful Cons smelly plumbing in room. Breakfast chaotic when busy. Having to order eggs/porridge and point to your table isn’t great. Coffee is from a machine, awful. Tea from a teabag isn’t great but better than the coffee"
Beech Hill Hotel & Spa

"We stayed for a night and got upgraded to the room with hot tub which was very enjoyable! Even though the outdoor spa was closed for refurbishment the indoor spa was comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very friendly especially Michelle at the front desk who checked us in ! We hope to visit again in the future"

"Nice hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Hot tub great. The only thing was the wet dog smell in the compact room. Could do with changing the flooring. The room perfume made it worse! Breakfast good choice, great quality."

"Our second time at this hotel great location for a Scotland/Wales meet up. Great spa friendly staff came last year also and plan to come back next year. Great fo r a spa break. Really comfy bed and great coffee in the room. Suni the supervisor was v helpful and accommodating"

"Great location near the town centre with parking. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. This was my 4th time staying in this hotel and looking forward to the next time!"

"Reception staff were welcoming and friendly . Bar staff helpful Restaurant staff again were lovely and polite"

"We had room 310 it where there are some sort of blowers air con also a fire door is left open and the staff use it come come in and out but the hotel is a great place to stop apart from this"
